Christine’s Tours Visit Colourful Marakesh

When I was asked by some of my group to arrange somewhere exotic, I asked Travel Adventure to arrange a weekend in November (getting some sun in Winter) to Marrakesh.

I was impressed with our Hotel the Kenzi Farah the rooms were large and comfortable and the pool area and gardens were lovely. The food was different each night and the desserts were amazing, so we had lots to choose from.

On the afternoon after we arrived our lovely guide Ahmed who took us into the Souk and showed us the Souk and other places of interest even had a back massage at the perfumery, well worth the few pounds I paid. The picture is of some of my group at the School Mosque one of the places our guide took us all.

I arrange our trip to the Atlas Mountains by 4 x 4 via a company called Desert Majesty (highly recommended) and all those who went said it was the highlight of the holiday. The vehicles picked us up at the Hotel and we went higher and higher and at one time we were twice as high as Snowdon and we went even further.  We spent time at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Al Benhaddou the backdrop for loads of films such as Gladiator.  We had a meal (included in the trip) at a Restaurant there and some of my group said it was one of the best they had ever had.

For any group travel organiser that has not gone to Marrakesh already I recommend that you do, I and my group were happy to got out in small parties around the town even taking the tour bus and did not feel threatened or worried about people trying to sell you things.
