Sample itinerary

Day  
1 Fly from London to San José international airport and transfer to your Hotel to check in and dinner at a local restaurant.
2 This morning we head out early for breakfast in Guapiles, before heading to La Pavona through vast banana plantations and small villages, to take a boat transfer along the rivers and canals of Tortuguero, before arriving around lunchtime. After lunch we will visit Tortuguero Village and have free time to relax before dinner at the lodge.
3 Morning hike along the trails near the lodge and an afternoon tour to Tortuguero Canals and national park famous for being the habitat for 7 species of turtles. Free time to relax before dinner at the Lodge.
4 After Breakfast we head back by boat, and head across the northern plains, Guapiles village and then to the Arenal Volcano region, a natural wonder with an iconic cone-shaped crater. Along the way there, you will see plantations of various agricultural crops, ornamental plants, and cattle ranches until you reach the town of La Fortuna. Check into your hotel for an evening at leisure and dinner.
5 Morning visit and hike to La Fortuna River Waterfall after breakfast, followed by lunch in the village and an afternoon visit to Tabacon Thermal Resort where we have dinner.
6 Transfer from Arenal Volcano to Monteverde, a small community located at the top of the Tilarán Mountain Range. An important ecotourism region the main attraction is its cloud forest reserves. During the trip, you will see beautiful scenery and pass through typical towns. You will have the afternoon free after with lunch in La Fortuna village, and dinner plus overnight at the Tabacon Thermal resort.
7 Monteverde is the home of the famous cloud forests: the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve and the Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve. You will be amazed at the area’s diversity and rich nature while walking along the numerous trails. In the higher parts of the forest, there exists what is called “natural Elfin Forest” – the climate is such that the tallest trees do not exceed 10 meters. A tour of the Hanging Bridges and Canopy tour is included with lunch at a local restaurant in Monteverde village. Overnight and dinner at the hotel.
8 This morning your journey will take you to the warm Central Pacific Coast. Manuel Antonio is your next destination; it is home to the smallest but most visited national park in Costa Rica. During the trip, we will stop at the Tarcoles River Bridge to see the giant crocodiles in the river below. The lush landscape along the Central Pacific Coast features rice and palm plantations. Accommodation: hotel in Manuel Antonio.
9 Today a hike and visit to the Manuel Antonio National Park starts your day. The Park has several trails for walking, viewpoints, beautiful beaches, and a high probability of seeing animals, especially the 4 species of Costa Rican monkeys, sloths and coatis.
10 After breakfast we head back to International Airport in San José for your flight home
11 Arrive back into London
