Day Day by Day
1 Arrive at Cape Town International Airport, on the way to your accommodation you will have an orientation tour of the Mother City. Dinner will be served in the Gold Restaurant where you will enjoy some interactive djembe drumming and authentic Cape Malay and African cuisine
2 Today, experience a full day Cape Peninsula Tour by beginning with a visit to the summit of Table Mountain. Travel along the Atlantic Seaboard, past Clifton to Hout Bay and continue over Chapman's Peak to the Cape Point Nature Reserve. Head to the Boulders Beach where you might see an African penguin or two!
3 This is wine country, so your focus today will be the beautiful scenery and the historic towns of Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. You will also take a tasting and cellar tour of one of the many wine estates in the area
4 Travel east to Oudtshoorn, where you'll visit the spectacular Cango Caves and get up close to the magnificent ostriches at the Cango Ostrich Farm nearby
5 On to Knysna to enjoy the Featherbed Eco Tour today. This includes a ferry trip on the Knysna lagoon to the Western Head, 4 x 4 vehicle/trailer drive up to the headland onto the reserve. There is some stunning viewpoints, flora and fauna to be seen today
6 Today, head along the dramatic South African coastline's Garden Route to Port Elizabeth and visit the Big Tree, Tsitsikamma Forest and Storms River Mouth
7 After breakfast, you will take a flight to Johannesburg where you will transfer to Mpumalanga
8 Travel via the breathtaking Panorama Route, visiting God's Window, Bourke's Luck Potholes and the luscious Blyde River Canyon to the Kruger National Park
9 Travel up to the Kruger National Park and spend a full day game viewing, fingers crossed you'll catch sight of one of the "Big Five", lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards and rhinos
10 Spend the day with a ranger in your 10-seater 4x4 vehicle where you'll have another full day game viewing in the Kruger National Park
11 Transfer from Kruger National Park to Johannesburg today for the last part of your tour of South Africa
12 After breakfast, visit the Apartheid Museum, a multimedia experience which takes you through the dark days of South Africa's history through to Nelson Mandela's historic release. Transfer to the airport for onward journey home
